Three things turn an inquiry into a booking.

What you charge, how fast you get an offer in front of the guest, and how much your listing answers before anyone has to ask. Work through all three below, including a calculator for your numbers and a Custom Offer you can practice sending.

Built for bars, restaurants, lounges, and full-service event venues.

01 Pricing

Make your pricing easy to understand

Clear pricing creates confident guests. A food & drink minimum (sometimes called a minimum spend) is the minimum amount a guest is expected to spend on eligible food and beverages during their event.

What you keep

That's the number the guest sees. Here's what it means for you. Peerspace charges one flat fee per booking based on your booking subtotal, never a commission on food or drink. Enter your numbers to see the fee and your take-home.

Booking type

Flat-fee pricing · $500 minimum booking · fees never exceed 20% and are capped at $1,000 · no commission on food or drink

That's your call, and it should be written down. Most venues count eligible food and beverage purchases made during the event window. Be explicit about the edges:

  • Does tax count toward the minimum, or sit on top of it?
  • Does gratuity or a service charge count?
  • Are bottle service, packages, or cake fees included?
  • What happens if the group spends less than the minimum?

Everything a guest would otherwise have to message you to find out.

  • Photos of the private event area, set up for an event
  • Seated and standing capacity
  • Your food & drink minimum and any space rental
  • Menu options, alcohol and outside food policies
  • Music, decoration, parking, and accessibility details
  • Accurate availability

Earlier than most hosts do. If you have the date, the time, and a rough guest count, you have enough to price the event. Send the offer with your first reply.

  • Don't wait to be asked. A guest comparing venues may already have numbers from somewhere else. Put yours in front of them.
  • Don't wait for perfect. If the details change, you can update the booking after it's accepted.
  • Don't hold it back for one open question. Ask the question in the same message that carries the offer.

Use one any time the event needs pricing or terms your listing doesn't already cover: a larger group, a full buyout, an earlier start, added service, or a bundled package.

02 Custom Offers

Your listing gets the lead. You close the booking.

Peerspace brings event opportunities to your venue. Once a guest reaches out, what you do next decides whether it stays an inquiry or becomes a booking. The Custom Offer is the one thing you can send that a guest can accept on the spot. Practice sending one below.

Hi! I'm planning a birthday party for my sister on Saturday, September 12, about 30 of us, 2 to 4pm. We'd want a semi-private area so we can do cake and open gifts. Is that something you can do, and what would it run us? Trying to lock something in this week.

Don't make guests piece together the deal from a conversation. Give them a clear proposal they can say yes to.

Why it matters

Most of this happens without you.

Discovery, evaluation, the inquiry, the confirmation. The marketplace handles those. Your reply is the one step that depends entirely on you, and it's the one that decides whether the rest was worth anything.

This is where you turn interest into a booking.

  • Answer what they askedPricing, menu, alcohol, layout, whatever is standing between them and a decision.
  • Confirm the detailsDate, time, guest count, and what the event actually needs from you.
  • Send a Custom OfferOne clear proposal with the price and what's included, ready to accept.

03 Best practices

A great listing does the selling for you.

The strongest listings answer the guest's biggest questions before they ever have to ask.

01 · Photos

Show the experience.

  • The private event area
  • Different setups
  • Bar and dining areas
  • Food and drinks
  • Atmosphere at night

Don't rely only on empty-room photos. Show guests what their event could actually look like.

02 · Pricing

Keep it accurate.

  • Food & drink minimum
  • Space rental, if applicable
  • What's included
  • Additional required charges

If your pricing changes, update your listing the same week.

03 · Availability

Keep your calendar current.

  • Block private events already on the books
  • Block closures and holidays
  • Sync your calendar where available

An inaccurate calendar creates wasted leads and poor guest experiences.

04 · Event details

Answer the questions before they're asked.

  • Capacity and event types
  • Food & beverage, alcohol, outside food
  • Music and decorations
  • Parking and accessibility
  • Amenities

Every unanswered detail is one more message between the guest and a booking.

05 · Response time

Don't let good leads go cold.

  • Fast response
  • More conversations
  • More offers
  • More opportunities to book

Guests planning an event are usually messaging several venues at once.

You're ready to turn your venue into a booking engine.

Keep your listing accurate. Respond quickly. Make every offer easy to understand. Then focus on delivering an amazing event experience.
